my CT shared with us a quote today:
Discipline is giving up what you want now for what you want most

lols.dunno why i kinda almost teared when she said it...
i guess it made alot of sense to me at least. i want to watch so many shows everyday, watch tv, read books, play wii and the list goes on. but her quote kind of suddenly reminded and enlightened me. its time i give up what i want now, for what i want most- a good A level result.

today durin class, we wrote reflection for jct results. then i wrote i felt that my results were ok because i passed almost every subjects except chem. then i was looking at the portal just now, and realised that i was below average for every single subject, including econs which i had never been. i guess i should stop all these "i am improving and its ok" mindset but start the "you better do well in prelim" thinking. :O

ahhhh kays. change of topic. drop dead diva is soooooo goood. i mean omg. i had been in loved with it since the first season, first episode and it never fails to 感动 me:D highly recommended hahaha

yea yea its time i have some discipline and work hard for prelim and As. ytd i saw a quote that goes like this :"You may never know what results come of your action, but if you do nothing there will be no result." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

although some of you may not agree, but for me, what matters now most is to try your best. you cannot guarantee that you will get a good outcome, good result after putting in all efforts. but you can at least guarantee that you will have no regrets because there is no "i should have.." even if the outcome is not something you desired, but at least you had done all that you could. you yourself know what is the capability of you. you yourself know what you can achieve. true that sometimes something along the way of your journey may waiver your confidence and made you think twice about continuing. but if you dont give your best shot now, and keep thinking you cannot do it, then you may just live in regrets holding on to the thought "i should hav.."

true that i may be someone who valued results a lot, more than the process sometimes, but that is because i had never given my best shot.for those out there who dont dare to tell yourself this(this is what my friend said because she said she dunno what is her best), remebere this, doing your best means do it the way and imagine youself getting a bad outcome. then ask yourself what you could have done to make it a better one?if there is no answer to it, that means you are doin your best already. ofcourse, i am not saying that improvements are not possible. improvements is obviously possible in every situation and process. so to me, giving my best means discipline. which in what my teacher shared with us means: giving up what you want now for what you want most.

dont know if it made any sense to you guys, but it sure made a lot of sense to me. so no harm trying!:)

jiayous guys and perserver on, in whatever you are doing!
especially for those who are taking A lvl soon just like me!!
