My 21st

Okayys i know it is weird that i am posting something that happened 2 months ago but i really couldnt find time to do it. And now its finally recess week!

From preparation to the party i took nearly 6 months with much procrastination in between. But its always better to start early uhh hahas. I had my 21st at Treehouse villa and while dylan had asked his friend to help me get it since about july last yr, the ballot always fail. Basically you need a signed on NSmen to use their intranet to get it. So if your sign on friend now is studying or what and have no access to the intranet in the camp then he cannot help you. But hey at least he will know people inside who does hav access :) So anw after trying to get it for so long, my another friend shiheng helped me got it in about oct. I could not get it on weekend hence i decided to put it on my actual day!

It was actually a wednesday and thankfully uni classes hav not started for most and hence my most of my friends were able to attend it.

I had my theme as pastel floral and i arranged for different invitation for different grps of friends/ relatives because i requested them to come in different colours. Thankfully everyone really came in the colour they were given and the photos turned out really nice heh :D

From the venue to thinking about the decor, to finding a software for photobooth, theme, catering, cake and all, am thankful for everyone who contribute to lessening my burden be it hearing me ramble about all the stuff, to actually helping me with the preparation or even just giving me ideas.

I must say this 21st party was really quite stressful during the preparation for me esp for the guestlist part. I couldnt decided who to invite to fit into that small place. I guess the major problem was, i was thinking about everyone, but not myself. I kept thinking if i invited this person, then who should i invite to pei this person or else so sian, then if i selectively invite people from a clique, then isnt it very hurtful for others and so on. All these overthinking made me couldnt come up with a guestlist until mayb 2 weeks before. In fact i only managed to do that after everyone keep telling me to invite people whom i like. its my party, i shouldnt be stressing over insignificant people. If those people are not significant to me, i probably arent to them too, so it doesnt matter if i invite them or not. words.

I handmade almost everything at my party, from photobooth to the decor of the place. And really thankful for omaha people for coming damm early to help me set up and hanging all the pretty fairylights even though i still feel damm bad for not entertaining them much during my party because i thought they were staying :(

Special thanks to my family for settling the catering, cake, dress code and even bringing me to recee the venue for THREE times HAHAH! Thanks to dylan for helping me with nearly everything and allowing me to make a mess in his room while i was doing my decor. :')

21st made me feel damm old and i was kinda depress the day before my party because i am so damm old. It is cool that i hav a sister who has the exact same birthday as me just not the same year, and i get to celebrate my 21st with her.

This 21st made me realise many things. esp the part on people who matters, matters, people who dont, dont. I invited everyone whom i think made a significant impact on me at some point of my life. There were people whom i invited, didnt reply. There were people whom i didnt expect to come, came. There were people who said they will be there but didnt appear. There were people who told me they couldnt make it the very last min. True i was disappointed when people told me they couldnt come or didnt reply because i truly treated them as people who were impt to me and we had wonderful memories together. Perhaps i may be too easily attached holding on to memories that were in the past. But that being said, i still had a wonderful 21st and that was when i realise, people who doesnt matters, really dont.
